Hello Visitor

.

Happy Military Appreciation Month from VetsinTech!

Join us in celebrating our military families during Military Appreciation Month! This month, we pay tribute to the unwavering dedication and sacrifices made by members of the Army, Navy, Air Force, Coast Guard, Marines, Space Force, and National Guard, as well as the invaluable contributions from their spouses. Our commitment to enhancing the lives of military families remains steadfast, as we continue to expand our employment partners and provide additional training opportunities through our VetsinTech Academy and the Craig Newmark Cybersecurity Institute for Veterans.

We hope you were able to join us last month for the VetsinTech Invasion 2023 conference, where we had approximately 500 veterans, active duty, and military spouses in attendance. Don't forget to signup for the next employer event on June 21, 2023. Also, please spread the word about our upcoming VIT The Impact Golf event at Pebble Beach at the end of June designed to raise funds and awareness for our education programs for veterans and military spouses (Twitter, Linkedin, Facebook).

Thank you all for your service; we appreciate you greatly here at VetsinTech!

Sincerely,
The VetsinTech Team

Duke Veteran Transitions Research Lab with VetsinTech in Palo Alto

Last week, VetsinTech had the pleasure of collaborating with the respected Veteran Transitions Research Lab at Duke University - The Fuqua School of Business, an organization dedicated to conducting and disseminating cutting-edge research that can improve outcomes for veterans during their transition to civilian life. Together, we hosted a networking event at the Wine Room in Palo Alto, where Dr. Aaron Kay and Dr. David Sherman presented a brief overview of their lab's recent research and discussed the impact of positive stereotypes on inequality. We are grateful for the opportunity to partner with such dedicated and knowledgeable professionals and would like to express our appreciation to everyone who attended the event, exploring ideas and supporting the veteran community.

The VetsinTech Milspouse Policy Roundtable in Washington DC

Recently, our team at VetsinTech (Katherine Webster, Ikram Mansori, and Johanna Tillman) held a successful and insightful roundtable in Washington, DC, focused on addressing the challenges faced by military spouses transitioning into the tech ecosystem and entrepreneurship. We brought together key stakeholders, including military spouses, policymakers, veterans, entrepreneurs, and nonprofit organizations, for an engaging discussion and a networking session. Our mission is to develop a policy whitepaper with the support of all key players and launch future programs dedicated to empowering military spouses. A special thank you to all the participants who contributed valuable insights and helped make this event successful!
