VetsInTech is excited to invite you to participate in the VetsinTech Artificial Intelligence Academy. The program will give you access to free training and is designed to provide you with the skills you need to get ready for an in-demand career.

Now is the time to take the next big step in your professional career! Make sure your current employer is willing to allow you to participate in the program prior to applying. After VetsinTech verifies your eligibility the link for the online AI Academy application will be shared.

You will need to upload an updated resume and will also need to enter information about your current industry certifications (if this applies to you) and any computer science or IT coursework you have completed in the past. Make sure you have this information readily available when you apply.

Once you have applied we will provide you with monthly updates in regard to your application status.

The Artificial Intelligence Academy (AIA) is a training program designed to prepare individuals
with backgrounds in computer science and/or IT to enter careers in AI, including data science
and machine learning roles.

The AI Academy is offered in a fully live and virtual format. There are two certificate programs
that comprise the AI Academy: Data Scientist and Artificial Intelligence Associate. There are a
total of two courses for each certificate program and each course is 10-weeks long.

– Data Scientist certificate program – prepares you to do work in data science, includes
courses Computer Programming with Python and Data Mining.

– Artificial Intelligence Associate certificate program – prepares you to do work in
machine learning and more advanced AI tasks, includes courses Introduction to Artificial
Intelligence and Machine Learning.

Each course is 10 weeks long and are offered sequentially, one at a time. While in the course,
the participant will have two hours, two days per week that are live WORKSHOPS delivered
using ZOOM and offered in the evening hours – beginning at either 6 p.m. or 8:15 EST. In the
live working session facilitated by AI Assistant Instructors, you will work on real industry
problems from our partners and have the opportunity to apply your knowledge and build
deeper conceptual understandings and skills.

Prior to attending the live WORKSHOPS, participants will complete SEMINAR work
independently. This will include viewing videos from NCSU professors focused on the AI
content, concepts, and skills.
While you are participating in the program, it is expected that you work with a mentor, either
assigned by your employer, or, if not available, we will provide you with group mentoring
through an industry program partner.

We are enrolling now for Cohort Six that will begin July 10, 2023. The full course schedule is

The application process is two-steps. First, there is an application to be completed and the link
is below. Once the application is complete, each potential participant must complete the AIA

Readiness Assessment (a link will be emailed to you to access the assessment). This assessment
will determine if you have the necessary prerequisite knowledge of programming in Python. If
you do not attain a score of proficient – we offer a self-paced, online course Foundations of AI
that you must complete prior to starting the full program. You will receive an email to inform
you of the outcome of your AIA Readiness Assessment.
