VetsinTech has partnered with a leading Security+ Training  provider to offer a five day hands-on Security+ Bootcamp and we will include the Sec+ Certification Exams to be done on the 5th day of the bootcamp.

1. Must already have the A+ and/or Net+ certificate active OR 
2. Complete the provided online Self-Paced A+ and Net+ Training courses we provide you with. 
3. All A+/Net+ Training Material must be complted prior to jumping into 5 day Security+ Bootcamp. 

This course includes certification exam everyone will take on the last day of the Bootcamp.  You must be able to allocate about 40 hours of prestudy (we will give you online training access) before attending the 5 day bootcamp.

TRAINING DESCRIPTION

The Security+ Boot Camp teaches you information security theory and reinforces theory with hands-on exercises to help you learn by doing. You will learn how to configure and operate many different technical security controls, and leave prepared to pass your Security+ course. VetsinTech provides this training & the EXAM included FREE OF CHARGE to transitioning members of the US Armed Forces, veterans and their spouses. Upon completion, for those who complete all of the training modules, VetsinTech will also cover the fees to take the (1) certification exam. It is an intense, accelerated course covering the most critical issues and practices of information security today. What is Class Schedule?

A: You will receive an invite from InfoSec to set up 3 modules. A+, Net+ and Sec+. You retain access for A+ Net+ for a year. The Sec+ Prestudy material is mandatory for all.  

A: A week before class start date

Q: What if I want to waive the A+ and Net+ pre-requisite? 

A: Schedule a call with me and make sure I have a copy of your current certificates/training justification to waive A+ and Net+ and acknowledge that we strongly encourage you to still review the material.

A: You will not be eligible to take the Sec+ bootcamp and/or receive the exam voucher but we can try to get you in the next one in July if there is still space. 

A: You can transfer to the next boot-camp or you can disenroll.

Q: What happens if I disenroll?

A: You will lose continued access to the A+ and Net+ Flex Portal  

Q:  How do we take the exam remotely if the class is remote? 

A:  Those who complete the 5 day boot camp, will take the Security+ Certification Exam remotely on Friday which I believe involves being recorded and having your monitor recorded and having your identity verified by showing your ID to the camera. It is not an open book, and you can’t use the internet, use the phone, or interact with others while taking the exam. 

Q: I may not be able to attend full time, can I just record the class and catch up on my own?

A: No. If you do not believe you are able to attend full time Monday through Thursday and test on Friday, we recommend you wait until a self-paced remote class is available.  The 5-Day Security+ Bootcamp is going to be a remote classroom setting so you are required to participate as you would have done so in a classroom, with the only difference being that you will all be attending remotely.  Be prepared to have a reliable internet connection, a web-cam and you will be expected to participate from a quiet space.

A: We will have Orientation  Call the week before class to answer more questions and get everyone prepared for the class.
